A DESPERATE mum of two is pleading to be rehoused for a fourth time as she battles against dampness, neighbour problems and a rat infestation.

Natalie Kerr, 33, who has fibromyalgia arthritis, stays with her sons Dylan, 16 who suffers from bronchitis, and two-year-old Tyler, who it’s thought may have autism.

After complaining to Glasgow Housing Association of mould and having to deal with problematic neighbour issues, the young family were moved from a flat in Knightswood’s Banner Road to a property in Drumchapel’s Goyle Avenue.

However, there they were faced with the regular sight of rats and droppings, prompting another change of address.

Yet, it wasn’t third time lucky for the single mother to help bring an end to her pest nightmare.

Natalie is now in a temporary flat in Blairdardie – but her older son has had to move out after dampness and mould saw his bronchitis symptoms get worse.

She turned down an offer of temporary accommodation because the flat was too far from her family in Knightswood, on whom Natalie relies for childcare.

She said: “They have given me three homes. The first one had mould and dampness and a neighbour from hell. The second had rodents and the third, a temporary flat, also has mould and dampness.

“They are refusing me a move beside my family. They said they would give me a local move, but I haven’t been given one.

“All I do now is cry. I feel like handing back the keys. I just feel like GHA don’t listen to how I feel and understand the situation I am living in.

“They don’t care as long as they get their rent.”

And as well as the mental toll, Natalie has told The Post how the situation has caused her to drop two dress sizes because of the stress..

A GHA spokesperson told the Post: “We understand the tenant wants to move closer to family in Knightswood and we’re doing what we can to help her make that happen.

“Glasgow City Council’s pest control team has been unable to deal with an infestation due to coronavirus restrictions."
