In recent months Clydebank Housing Association (CHA) made the decision not to disconnect customers who are in high arrears due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However, CHA Power have now ceased this practice to ensure that the other residents are not subsidising the cost of these cases of non-payment with future price increases.
CHA are urging all residents to keep their accounts up-to-date.
Before disconnection is considered, an affordable payment plan will be offered, and direct debit arrangements will be encouraged.
Residents should always respond to letters and contact the office on 0141 941 1044 to discuss their CHA Power account where advice and assistance can be given.
