A CLASS of pupils at a Glasgow primary are self-isolationg following a postive Covid-19 case at the school.

The St Thomas' pupils will remain at home for the next two weeks as a precaution following the confirmed coronavirus case.

A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman confirmed that the test and protect team have visited the school on Smithycroft Road. 

She said: "The school has been working with public health and test and protect experts and a class in the school is self-isolating as a precaution.

“Letters have been issued to families with advice and guidance and to reassure them of the robust health and safety measures being adhered to.”

In the letter, the NHS said: "Robust control measures are in place at the school, and there is currently no evidence of transmission within the school itself."
