The village of Sorn is gearing up for Hallowe’en coronavirus-style as plans to hold physically distanced and hygienic treat trails emerge.
Zoe Coward of the Sorn Parent Council did not feel right about her children going from door to door and touching things that many others had already touched.
She said: “I’m a bit nervous about having them put their hands in a bucket all together, that loads of others have had their hands in.”
So she’s organising an alternative Hallowe’en activity.
She has planned a pumpkin trail, which will see participating houses decorate their windows, porches and gardens with pumpkins that will conceal a letter.
Those participating in the trail will purchase a map that gives the location of each letter, and when all letters have been collected they will reveal a word or a phrase. There will also be games in the gardens of participating houses.
Alex Shaw from DC20 Dalgain Contracts has kindly offered to donate a bunch of sweet treats to be distributed to those participating in the trail.
Those wishing to find out more or purchase a trail map can do so by contacting sornparentcouncil@gmail.com
