POLICE are investigating after a man was assaulted in a flat in Clydebank.
Officers were called at around 9.50am this morning and attended at Burnside Court.
A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital.
A tenant of the high-rise said she was woken up with screaming in the early hours, and officers are still at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 9.50am on Friday, 6 August, 2020, officers were called to a report of a 49-year-old man assaulted within a block of flats on Scott Street, Dalmuir.
"He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
"Enquiries are continuing and any witnesses, or anyone with information should contact Clydebank police office via 101 quoting reference number 1005 of 7th August."
