Work on additional cycle lanes will start on Tuesday linking Drumchapel and Knightswood.

The pop-up lanes will create additional space for physical distancing in an effort to limit the spread of Covid-19.

It comes as part of Glasgow City Council's Spaces for People plans, which has already seen temporary cycle lanes across the city.

The lanes will stretch along Great Western Road for 2 kilometres in each direction, between Duntreath Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Work should be completed by July 21.

A westbound lane has already been installed on the Broomielaw between Saltmarket and the Clyde Arc.
