CHARITIES and third sector organisations in Clydebank are being urged to apply to a supermarket community fund for financial help.

The Co-op is looking to support groups which provide access to essential services, including food banks, green spaces, and mental and physical wellbeing support services.

Rebecca Birkbeck, director of community and shared value at the Co-op, said: “We want to help communities come together, co-operate and have a positive impact on community well-being - physically and virtually.

“I would urge any group that feels it fits our criteria to apply for funding. We know they need a funding boost now more than ever.”

The closing date for applications is June 28. For more information about the Co-op Local Community Fund visit causes.coop.co.uk.
