CLYDEBANK’S MSP is highlighting ways in which people suffering sexual violence can get help during the coronavirus lockdown.

Gil Paterson is encouraging those who need support to contact Glasgow Clyde Rape Crisis.

The MSP said: “This is a difficult time for people to seek out the support they need, and especially the case for survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

"I completely support the vital work Glasgow Clyde Rape Crisis is doing to help those, mostly women, who are the victims of sexual violence and abuse.

"I hope it will not be long until the full service is restored, as combating sexual violence and supporting those affected by the problem is of paramount importance.”

Survivors can get in touch by calling 08088 00 00 14 from 11am to 4pm Monday to Friday, or emailing support@rapecrisiscentre-glasgow.co.uk. Message 07712 719 520 if you are unable to speak on the phone.
