POLICE are appealing for information from the public after a house in Clydebank was burgled and a car and other items were stolen.

The silver Honda Civic was taken from outside the property in Melfort Court in Drumry some time after 1am on June 11.

A family member told the Post that a Samsung S9 mobile phone, handbags, purses and other items were also stolen from inside the house.

The car registration is SM66 JKE, and anyone with information has been asked to contact police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries into a break-in which took place in the Melfort Court area of Clydebank sometime between 1am and 10.30am on Thursday, 11 June.

"A number of items are suspected to have been stolen, in addition to a silver Honda Civic (SM66 JKE).

"Enquiries are at an early stage and anyone with information about the break in or current whereabouts of the vehicle are urged to contact Clydebank CID on 101, quoting incident 0979 of 11 June.”
