ScotRail has issued five rules they are asking customers to follow to help keep staff and passengers safe during the pandemic.

The company ask: do not travel if you feel unwell or have a temperature; avoid travelling at peak times where possible (7-9am and 4–6.30pm); if you think it’s not safe to board a train, don’t do it and wait for another service; wear a face mask or covering and try to maintain physical distancing and be patient as limited passenger capacity could mean not getting to board your train of choice.

Alex Hynes, managing director of Scotland’s railway, said: “We’ll continue to do our very best to keep those making essential journeys safe in the weeks and months ahead, but we need our customers to play their part too by following our five rules for safer travel.”
