THIS year’s Volunteer Week is being dedicated to the work of members of the public in Dumbarton and the Vale supporting the Covid-19 effort.
The annual week is running from the June 1-7 with West Dunbartonshire Council and West Dunbartonshire CVS working together on their social media platforms to raise awareness and share experiences of a range of volunteers across different authorities.
Selina Ross, chief officer at WDCVS said: “It has never been more important to use the platform Volunteers Week gives us to celebrate the efforts of West Dunbartonshire volunteers”
In addition to the planned social media campaign West Dunbartonshire residents are being asked to include volunteers in the 8pm Clap for Carers this Thursday to recognise their efforts (June 4).
