A YELLOW weather warning is in place across Clydebank this evening as winds are expected to reach up to 50 miles per hour.

The Met Office has issued the warning for between 3pm today until 5am tomorrow morning, with heavy gusts and rain to be expected as well as disruptions to travel over the weekend.

The warning comes as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of the season’s weather, after the area experienced a heatwave on Wednesday with temperatures reaching a high of 20 degrees to add to the warm weather experienced over April and the beginning of May.
