A DRUMCHAPEL woman has gifted £600 to Men Matter, a local men’s mental health charity.

Louise Montgomerie won an online bingo game hosted by Jason Munro, who usually works in the The Quarter Gill pub, Partick.

The pub has donated to different charities each week, with the winner of the second round of bingo choosing which charity the money should go to.

Louise said: “I donated the money collected from the people playing the bingo. Everyone has the option of adding £1 onto their bingo fee.

“I was allowed to nominate a charity of my choice as I won the bingo.

“Jason puts in all the hard work for everyone, in these difficult times, and he does it all for free.”

Jason told the Post the bingo game started as a “bit of family fun”, but now around 600 people play on a Friday night from across greater Glasgow.

He now offers an online quiz, bingo and karaoke throughout the week, organised with his niece Bethany, who worked as a bartender at the pub.

The bingo game has been running since lockdown and has been donating £700 across two games to good causes in other areas of the city.
