TACKS have been found once again along a local canal path, causing distress to cyclists and walkers.

Last week the Post revealed how Bankies were left “saddened” when sharp tacks were placed along the canal path near Clydebank Retail Park - and now it has happened again.

The malicious act was discovered by local Clydebank photographer Stevie Doogan when walking along the canal adjacent to Whitecrook last weekend.

Stevie took to social media and said: “Beware everybody. Some complete imbecile has scattered hundreds of small drawing pins along the length of the canal path adject to Whitecrook. Dog walkers, walkers, joggers and cyclists watch out!”

Local Bankies were quick to show their outrage, commenting: “Been going since last weekend. The queue at Halfords last Monday morning was about 20 people long and most of them were cyclists with punctures.”

Another read: “I just met a family whose young boy got a tack in his tyre, absolute scum. Why would anyone do this?”, while another stated: “I wouldn’t imagine many folk buy large quantities of drawing pins these days. Local shops should be alerted.”
