POLICE have been patrolling the streets of Clydebank in a bid to ensure people are following the government’s advice to stay at home.
Officers have the power to fine anyone who is outside without a “reasonable excuse”.
Argyll & Bute and West Dunbartonshire Police division shared pictures of officers carrying out their duties.
They said on Twitter: “Our community police officers have been on patrol engaging with the public, explaining the risks to public health and need for social isolation and encouraging them to go home and stay indoors, in line with government guidance. #StayAtHomeSaveLives #SocialDistancing #COVID19.”
