The Golden Jubilee Hospital has announced it has taken the decision to scale down non-urgent outpatient appointments and planned procedures.
The news follows the Scottish Government announcement that all non-urgent elective care has been postponed to free up capacity in hospitals for at least the next three months.
Jann Gardner, chief executive of Golden Jubilee, said: “In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, we will be prioritising our urgent and emergency heart and lung patients (including lung cancer procedures) as well as urgent diagnostic services.

“We are also working with Scottish Government and NHS colleagues on supporting other critical services for patients across the country.
“Unfortunately this means that NHS Golden Jubilee has now cancelled some non-urgent outpatient appointments and planned procedures.
“We apologise for the impact this will have on those waiting but ask for patient support and co-operation in these uncertain times.”
