A PUB in Clydebank could soon be treating their customers to an outdoor drinking facility.

Chandlers, at 2 Kilbowie Road, are looking to make some changes to their pub and restaurant.

The owners, Trust Inns Limited, have applied to West Dunbartonshire’s licensing board to change the hour for the sale of alcohol on Sundays from 12.30pm to 11am.

They are also looking to amend their operating plan in order to permit outdoor drinking facilities as an activity permitted.

Chandlers hope to submit revised layout plans of the pub which show the new proposed external drinking area at the front and side of the premises - at Kilbowie Road and Dumbarton Road.

Police Scotland suggested that the proposed outdoor drinking area should not be used when “certain events are taking place”.

No other comments were put forward other than the licensing standards officer being supportive of Police Scotland’s suggestion.
