THE family of a “larger than life” Clydebank man who passed away earlier this month have said they are devastated following their loss.

On February 6, William Henfrey, known as Willz, was “suddenly and unexpectedly” found dead in his home.

The 32-year-old’s cause of death is still unknown which his family have described as very difficult to cope with.

A JustGiving page has been set up to raise money to give Willz “the biggest and best send-off he deserves”.

A statement on the page reads: “Willz was a great believer in being there for each other in times of need, and as a family, it is our time in need.

“We are surrounding each other and trying to remain strong for him, it is difficult enough, but at times like these, Willz would be the one who would be there with his love and affection, ensuring everyone was okay.

“I am hoping that by setting up this fundraiser we are able to give him the send-off that he so deserves.

“Willz was 32 years young and he was the life and soul of any event he attended.

“We as a family, would like to carry that on, even in his passing.

“We want to celebrate his life as he would, being alive, but as you can imagine, this comes with a cost which we sadly are not in a position to fully compensate. So with pride aside, I am asking for help.”

So far, more than £1,630 has been donated that will go towards his “leaving party” which will be held on Friday, February 21.

His family added: “Willz wasn’t one for calling it a funeral, he always said it was to be a party, it was to be a celebration of his life, and he didn’t want black and white, it was to be all colourful.

“We would like to thank every single person who has donated to our shining diamond.

“Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts. Every little helps to make a perfect celebration of life.”

Tributes have poured in across social media following the popular Clydebank man’s death.

One person said: “I still can’t believe that you’re gone Willz. RIP young man. Forever in my thoughts.”

Another added: “I met Willz a few times, he was a good friend to my children, my thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.”

And someone commented: “Willz was a huge rainbow in everyone’s life, he would do anything for anyone, he always was filled with joy and happiness, he will be missed a lot. RIP buddy, can’t believe your gone.”
