TRIBUTES have been paid to a young man who died in a tragic accident yesterday.

Calvin Campbell was involved in a crash on his motorbike on Mountblow Road at 4.05pm on January 28.

The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bankies expressed their condolences on social media when the news was shared.

Mandie MacTaggart wrote: “Loving thoughts sent to the family tonight and god bless the paramedics and doctors who tried so hard...my heart goes out to them all.”

Lisa Harper said: “So sad, and so young. Rest easy, thoughts are with the family at this very sad time.”

And Dean Carrick shared some old memories. He wrote: “Rest in peace Calvin, a mind a used to make you up dance CDs back in the day when we were younger haha. Condolences tae your family mate.”

Declyn Langan commented: “RIP bro, another one taken too soon.”

Carrie Mitchell wrote: "Still not got my head around this, doesn't feel like that long ago we were having heart to hearts mid-rave, rest easy."

Officers are appealing for information following the incident.

Sergeant Nikki Taylor of Road Policing, Dumbarton, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and we would ask that anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the collision to get in contact.

“The area would have been busy at that time of the day and I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that may be able to assist with our investigation to come forward to police.”
