KNIGHTSWOOD History Group is seeking a new chair and is appealing to local residents for interest in the position.
The suitable candidate must be willing to put the group’s 2020-2021 programme together, and have competent IT skills, as well as plenty of contacts to draw upon and be able to secure speakers for each week’s meeting.
Running alongside the chair is a treasurer, a small committee and some secretarial assistance available to help in the role.
The post is voluntary, and well suited to someone retired or semi-retired.

The community group, consisting of mostly young and not-so-young retirees, meets every Tuesday morning from 10.30am to 12.30am in Knightswood Community Centre on Alderman Road.
The new speaker is expected to open proceedings in each session with a talk from 10.30am to 11.30am.
This year, the group has arranged their annual outing, with the proposal so far to visit Kilmartin’s historical sites, as well as a Christmas lunch in the community centre over the festive period.
