BANKIES are being urged to make a date to join Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.
The charity is holding race events across Scotland, starting in May, and is calling on people of all ages and abilities to stride out to help beat cancer.
The country’s biggest Race for Life event is on Sunday, May 17, at Glasgow Green.
Lisa Adams, Cancer Research UK’s spokeswoman in Scotland, said: “This year our Race for Life events are open to everyone.

“We’re sending a heart-felt message to anybody who’s thought about signing up in the past but for one reason or another hasn’t got round to it.
"This is your year - please seize the opportunity to register in January and become part of the Race for Life community.”
