POLICE have arrested a man following an alleged attempted murder that took place in Clydebank on Sunday afternoon.
A 55-year-old man suffered "serious injuries" in the incident, which took place near Kirkoswald Drive, on Sunday, January 19, at around 1.10pm.
He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as stable.
Police Scotland confirmed a 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A force spokesman told the Post: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an [alleged] serious assault that took place near Kirkoswold Drive, Clydebank, around 1.10pm on Sunday 19 January, 2020.
"A 55-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as stable.
