BANKIES working in social services are being invited to enter this year’s Scottish Social Services Awards.

Nominations are now open for ten categories including Social Work Student of the Year.

And the leading awards initiative has merged with the Scottish Association of Social Work Awards.

Maree Todd, minister for children and young people, said: “It is excellent to see these award initiatives coming together to recognise the outstanding work across the sector to support vulnerable people and to help improve people’s lives.”

Anyone registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or working for an organisation registered with the Care Inspectorate can enter or be nominated for an award online at ssa.scot. The deadline for entries is February 21.
