A NEW fleet of trains operating across Scotland are bringing benefits to commuters in West Dunbartonshire - according to ScotRail.
Although the new Class 385 trains do not operate through the area, the company says their introduction on other routes means better use can be made of the existing fleet.
A spokesman said: “Almost every peak time train through Dunbartonshire now runs with the maximum number of six carriages.”

The firm added that more than one thousand carriages are delivering additional seats following the arrival of the new fleet last month.
The final addition to the 70 strong fleet of electric trains has brought the train operator’s total number of carriages to 1,016.
