A WHITECROOK lout has been sent back to jail after behaving threateningly towards police officers while he was out of prison on licence.
Liam Menzies shouted, swore and behaved aggressively towards the cops at a property in Low Crescent on October 11.
Menzies, 23, of John Knox Street, appeared for sentencing on Friday after pleading guilty to a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Menzies had been arrested and kept in police custody after the incident happened, and pleaded guilty to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour when he appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court three days later.
Defence lawyer Stephen McGuire told the court that Menzies, who was brought to court from custody, was on remand for a separate case at Glasgow Sheriff Court – and that Menzies had refused to see a social worker who went to prison to see him for a report.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry told Menzies: “You have reached a point, relatively early in your life, when each and every time you commit an offence, you are sent to prison; and each time you are sent to prison, the time you spend there gets longer and longer.”

He was sentenced to six months, however, before that term kicks in, Menzies will also serve six months of his last unexpired sentence.
