RESIDENTS and employees at Hill View Care Home took part in a day of celebrations for a very special occasion - the 25th anniversary of the facility being opened.

The Advinia home on Singer Road provides nursing, palliative, respite and convalescence care for up to 300 residents.

And on Wednesday, November 13, the Post’s photographer went along to take some snaps during the recent birthday bash.

Kathleen Glasgow, the care home manager, told the Post: “The home has went from strength to strength. It’s in a lovely area and we have three members of staff who have been here since it first opened - a kitchen assistant, a carer and a house keeper. They have all been here since day one, so two of them received presentations on the day as the other couldn’t make it.

“It was a great day. We had our regional director and our chief operating officer visit from England.

“We also have two ladies going to be turning 100 - one on the 26th of this month and another on Christmas Eve so we’re also getting ready for their celebrations.

“It was a lovely afternoon and we’re looking forward to the future. We want to thank all of our loyal staff. We have lots of long serving employees - some 20 and 21 years as well so we are very grateful for them all.”
