A NEW mobile phone app will help residents find local sports clubs in the area.

The free tool, launched by West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust (WDLT), displays activities on offer locally and allows anyone interested in the sessions to contact the trust.

The app was developed as the collective response from the community was that there was a lack of information available online regarding the trust.

WDLT’s Sports Development team worked with a group of Quality Club accredited sports clubs to develop the app, which will be available on Apple and Android devices.

The app also lists information about summer holiday camps for kids, renting sports pitches and community facility lets.

Charlie Gibson, chair of WDLT, said: “This app is a great platform for our residents to see what a wide variety of sports and other activities are available to them all over West Dunbartonshire.”
