POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a reported hit-and-run.
A 49-year-old woman was crossing at a green man on Montrose Street when a black car allegedly failed to stop for the lights and hit the woman while she was crossing.
The incident took place on November 11 at around 2pm.
It was reported to police that the woman driving the car made off without checking on the injured woman who later required surgery to her leg.
The car is only described as black but with damage to the rear bumper.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who knows any information or witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
