CLYDEBANK assembled its top heroes at the weekend to switch on the festive season at Clyde Shopping Centre.

Brave Caleb Stirrat, who has been undergoing chemo after travelling to Florida earlier this year for radical proton therapy to treat his aggressive cancer, was the true star of the show.

He wanted to switch on the lights and the shopping centre said it was delighted to have Clydebank’s little superhero on hand for the occasion.

Other guests included the Clydebank FC Under 19s football team, sponsored by the centre, Laura Gray Dancers, BKS Dance Team, and showbiz journalist and singer Bev Lyons.

A spokeswoman for the shopping centre said: “Simply Rod, Just The Brave along with James Hughes and others kept the day going.

“The highlight for the little ones was Santa arriving in his grotto, the reindeers and Central Superhero’s.

“Centre Manager Andrew Forrester would like to thank all our customers and performers who came along on the day and wish you all a merry Christmas.”
