A THUG forced a man to the ground and stamped on his head in a vicious attack in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the serious assault, which took place at a pedestrian crossing in Kinfauns Drive in Drumchapel.

The incident is thought to have occurred at around 7.50pm on Friday, September 27.

The 43-year-old victim sustained a cut to his head after the brutal attack.

Police say they are still appealing for witnesses following the attack.

Detective Constable Craig Martin at Drumchapel CID said: "It appears that the victim left a nearby betting shop with the man we want to trace for this assault, shortly before the assault took place.

"The man we want to trace is described as being male, white, in his 20s, short dark hair, slim build, and was wearing a black jacket, grey trousers and had a black backpack with him.

"We also want to speak to the occupants of a silver-coloured Ford Focus which was parked near to the pedestrian crossing where this assault took place.

"Anyone who can help should call us on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 3670 27 September 2019."
