THE organiser of a charity football match held in memory of a Clydebank teenager has donated the money to a children's hospital.

Allan Macphie, 16, decided to hold the event after his close friend Connor Luke, 17, passed away in September.

A total of £653.12 was raised on the day that has been handed over to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

Allan said: "I would like to thank everyone who donated money at the charity match for Connor, I really appreciate it and I hope this money helps the charity. Thank you again."

The money raised for the hospital is a tribute to Connor's two-year-old cousin who passed away from cancer.

Crowds of people turned up at Holm Park on October 27 for the Rangers v Celtic match.

The teams were made up of Connor's friends and family.
