A WOMAN was robbed by four men as she got out of her car, police report.

Officers are investigating the attack where the woman was knocked to the ground, her keys stolen and her car driven off.

Police said around 8.20pm, the 55-year-old was getting out of her black Volvo V50 in Kirkton Avenue, Knightswood, when she was approached.

One of the attackers knocked her down. She did not require medical treatment but was left badly shaken by the incident.

The men are described as being, white, aged between 17 and 24 years of age and wearing dark coloured clothing. One of the man was wearing blue gloves.

Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and reviewed CCTV footage from in and around the area.

Constable Stephen McCabe said: “I am appealing to anyone in the area who has yet to speak to us to get in touch.

"One of the men was wearing blue gloves, possibly in an effort to prevent any DNA from being found.

"This perhaps indicates that the man has done this before and would have no hesitation in doing it again.

"I would ask anyone who has any information regarding the suspects of the incident to contact us.

"Your information could be that vital link which could assist us in tracing the men responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at the robbery unit in Helen Street via 101, quoting incident number 3862 of October 21.
