THOUSANDS of commuters had their train journeys to work disrupted this morning because of a broken rail in the east end of Glasgow.
Services affected include Glasgow City Centre to Singer via Drumry, and Clydebank via Yoker.
The problem was discovered on the westbound section of track between Carntyne and Bellgrove.
Trains on all routes via Glasgow Queen Street low level, in both directions, were affected, including the Helensburgh-Edinburgh, Airdrie-Balloch, Dumbarton-Springburn and Milngavie-Edinburgh lines.
ScotRail said the disruption was expected to last until around 12.30pm.
