A CLYDEBANK energy firm is offering job interviews for staff laid off by Watt Brothers.

Together Energy is calling on workers from the Clydebank store to tour their offices and interview for a position.

Interested staff members are invited to visit the offices in North Avenue Clydebank between 9 and 10am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Watt Brothers went into administration on Friday morning with 229 staff across Scotland being made redundant with immediate effect.

The Clydebank location employed 22 people.

Administrators KPMG say Watt Brothers will continue to trade from the Glasgow store for stock clearance event which began on October 19.

Scotland’s fastest-growing energy company prides itself as a living wage employer.

Together Energy chief executive Paul Richards said: ”We're delighted as a growing company to do our bit.

"We know the quality of customer service delivered by staff at Watt Brothers in Clydebank was terrific and that makes a really good fit for our business."

"We're keen to get staff immediate offers so they are on payroll this month and hopefully even if it's a small amount they can have some wages in their bank at the end of this month.“
