A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been left with serious injuries after being robbed in Old Kilpatrick.

Around 5.35pm yesterday, three men assaulted and robbed the man as he was walking through Lusset Glen between Kilpatrick train station and Dumbarton Road, Old Kilpatrick.

He sustained serious facial injuries and remains within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The men took his laptop and a two figure sum of money from him.

They have been described as 5 ft 10 in height, of stocky build, wearing a blue hooded top with hood up and grey jogging bottoms, 5 ft 7 in height, of slim/athletic build, wearing a grey hooded top and red tracksuit bottoms, 6 ft 2 in height, very skinny and wearing a blue hooded top.

Detective Constable Imran Abuzar, Clydebank CID, said: “The man had just got off the train at Kilpatrick train station and was cutting through Lusset Glen towards Dumbarton Road, when he was approached and then robbed by the three men.

"They demanded his computer and money and then attacked him leaving him with a broken jaw and other injuries which will require surgery.

“We know that a member of the public shouted over at his attackers to get them to stop, however, he was threatened by them too. We would ask that he contact police as soon as he can.

“Officers are checking CCTV and liaising with British Transport Police colleagues to try and identify the men responsible.

"We know that this area is a popular short cut and is used by people out walking their dogs, so if you were in that area, or maybe saw the three suspects hanging about prior to the attack or running off afterwards, then please phone us."
