NINE girls who attend a Clydebank dance school are celebrating after coming home with a total of 26 trophies between them.

The dancers who go to Lesley Farmer’s Dance OFF Academy in Clydebank travelled to Skegness, Lincolnshire, last month to take part in the Fantasia Championships.

The impressive haul of 26 trophies was achieved by just nine dancers – Maisy, Chloe, Holly, Lexi, Jessica, Ellie, Skye, Anna and Natalie.

Lesley, owner of the academy, told the Post: “As always, we went with no expectations and came home on cloud nine.

“Every single dancer danced outstandingly all weekend with each one bringing home trophies.

“I was completely blown away.”

Lexi, aged 11, was crowned Judges’ Choice after being selected for her outstanding performances all weekend.

Lesley added: “This was a fabulous end to an already amazing weekend for us all. I am beyond proud of every dancer as it takes a lot to just go on that floor.

“We went for the experience and memories and their trophies were a lovely added bonus.”

Dance OFF Academy, on Kilbowie Road, has been running for 17 years and offers a wide range of dance, singing and drama to more than 200 students.
