The Three mobile network is experiencing a nationwide outage with service down in Glasgow.

Frustrated customers have taken to social media experiencing their concern over no connection in the city.

It is understood that customers have no signal and have not been able to access the internet on their phones. The problem has been ongoing since midnight.

Some users took to social media to vent their frustration.

London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Nottingham have also been affected by the issue.

A message on the Three website said it was currently down for "essential maintenance".

When customers call the company's helpline on 333 an automated message says: "If you’re calling about problems with your signal strength, we’re working hard to fix this now.

"We’re sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
