POLICE were called to reports of a "gunshot" in Knightswood yesterday.

Officers investigated the allegations following calls yesterday morning.

They received reports of the sound of a firearm being shot on Culbin Drive in the early hours.

There was also police presence in Boclair Street, around a mile and a half away, following the reports of a firearm being shot around 1am, but police said there was no evidence as to whether a gun had actually been fired.

Police Scotland confirmed that they have no reported injured people or casualties.

Despite this, a police presence remained in place for most of the day around Boclair Street, with a section being cordoned off to the public.

Officers reached out to local shops and businesses for CCTV footage of anyone around the area at the time of the shots being heard.
