A DALMUIR business is set to celebrate a decade on the road to success.

Dalmuir Tyre Services has come a long way since directors John Smith and Gordon Young took the plunge into business after they were made redundant.

The pair had worked for the now defunct Clydebank Tyres, but started their own outfit after they found themselves unemployed.

Starting from a small unit in the Beardmore Industrial Estate, John and Gordon now run the successful business on Dumbarton Road.

Dalmuir Tyre Services are now the main tyre supplier in the burgh. But they never dreamed that 10 years on they would be leading the sector, with an un-rivalled reputation for high standards of quality and customer care.

John said: “We decided to take the plunge not knowing what would happen and it’s been the best thing we ever did.”

The business has gone from strength to strength with Dalmuir Tyre Services supplying garage owners in the area, as well as keeping local taxis on the road.

The firm specialises in supplying and repairing all makes and models of tyres — including domestic and commercial — from vans and taxis right down to family runabouts.

From brand name tyres to puncture repair, John and Gordon and local lads Craig Campbell and Johnny Mulligan are well-equipped to deal with all your tyre requirements.

But John remains far from complacent over the success of the venture and values the continued custom of loyal clients.

He said: “I’d like to thank everyone for their loyalty and custom over the last ten years and assure them that they can look forward to the same high standards in the future.”
