CLYDEBANK band The Fences are preparing for their second charity gig in the town.

The four-piece rock group consists of Gabriel Kielty, Aidan Rowan, Brendan Bean, and David Daly — and their chosen charity to raise funds for this time round is St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

Gabriel told the Post: “We choose the hospice because it’s a local charity that most people in the area will come into contact with some time or another.

"It does brilliant work and relies on charitable contributions to a large extent to do this.”

Last year, £1,082 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support during a sold-out show at John Browns Bar in November.

The Fences will be performing live at the Lucky Break in Clydebank on October 25, with support from Leaving Bordeaux and Horizons.

Those who attend are also asked to bring a food donation along for the local foodbank.

Last year, more than 30 bags of food were collected thanks to the band's kind supporters.

Doors open at 8pm.
