A DRUMCHAPEL man who racially abused a couple at a takeaway restaurant has been given a legal slap on the wrist after staying out of trouble since the incident.
Kevin Traynor, 43, of Carolside Drive, directed offensive remarks at Jennifer Wu and Wan Choi Wu at the Loon Hing takeaway on Switchback Road in Bearsden on September 14, 2018.
Sentence had been deferred since January for Traynor to show Dumbarton Sheriff Court that he could be of good behaviour.
At a hearing on Friday, Sheriff William Gallacher told Traynor: “This was very unpleasant behaviour, but I’m satisfied you have not been in further trouble.

“I do not expect to see you again - at all.”
Traynor was admonished and dismissed.
