A SERIOUS assault that took place in Drumchapel over the weekend resulted in a man needing hospital treatment.
On Sunday, September 15, the 54-year-old was seriously assaulted in a car park beside Drumchapel train station at around 5.55pm.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a leg injury.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Detective Constable Jennifer Boyle, of Drumchapel CID, said: "I'm appealing to the driver of a silver Mini who was there at the time of the incident to contact us.
"I'm also appealing to the person who helped the victim and then left in the Mini to contact us.”
