RESIDENTS of Clydebank were cooking up a storm last week during a new cooking class.

Whitecrook’s Centre81 held the first of the four classes on Thursday morning.

The free block will focus on making use of seasonal and local produce, and provide advice on reducing food waste and purchasing.

Ryan Savage, project officer at Centre81, said: “The class went really well today. It is a great class to boost your cooking skills, and meet new people in a relaxed and fun environment.

“The cooking blocks we run are all geared towards encouraging people to cook with fresh ingredients and have discussions around climate change and the small changes we can make at home to help reduce our carbon footprint by reducing our food waste and recycling.”
