RESIDENTS are being invited to attend tonight’s Clydebank Community Soup event at the Salvation Army Hall.

Local people are asked to turn up on tonight at 7pm, donate what they can afford to gain entry at the door, enjoy a bowl of soup before listening to people from the local community speak about projects they would like to deliver in the area.

The project in which receives the most votes takes away the money raised on the door to go towards their idea.

At the first community soup event held in April, Aspire 2, took away £73.

The peer-led support group for people affected by mental ill-health used the money to cover the costs of their meetings and pay for aromatherapy oils which are used for relaxation.
