Dynamite Gymnastics Club headed to Bell’s Sport Centre in Perth last weekend with more than 40 young gymnasts competing at the Scottish Championship qualifiers for trampoline, double-mini trampoline and tumbling.

With the Scottish Championships set to take place in October, Dynamite, based in Clydebank, excelled in all three events with 31 medals across the disciplines.

An incredible 16 medals, more than half of the club’s tally, came in trampoline with Abbie, Thomas, Zac, Hannah, Kalum and Lucas all securing well-deserved golds.

Becca, Leo, Megan, Oliver, Bethany and Milly all competed well to earn silvers while Emma, Harry, Emily and Brooke took bronze.

There was even more success over the weekend with 11 medals won in the double-mini trampoline discipline.

Milly, Abi, Rowan and Becca came home with golds and Katie, Kalum, Amy, Megan, Sophie and Oliver all earned silver with Emily taking bronze.

Dynamite’s tumbling team added to the medal haul later in the afternoon thanks to a gold from Jodie and silvers from Cara, Jenna and Grace.

Dynamite head gymnast Ellena Devitt said “I’m delighted with the weekend’s achievements. The hard work and determination of these gymnasts is really showing in their results this year.

“We’re all now looking forward the Scottish Championships in Perth this October.”

The 2019 Scottish National Trampoline, Tumbling and Double-Mini Trampoline Championships begins on Saturday, October 5 and wraps up on the afternoon of Sunday, October 6 at Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth.

With 29 medals, including a fantastic 15 gold, eight silver and six bronze, from last year’s Scottish Championships, Dynamite Gymnastics Club once again have high hopes for this year’s competition.
