POLICE in Clydebank have assured the public that anyone committing hate crimes will be dealt with appropriately.
In recent weeks, officers said there have been ongoing issues with individuals allegedly targeting Syrian families living in the area.
A spokesperson at Clydebank police office said: “All such matters will be investigated robustly. Our community will not tolerate offensive behaviour. There will be extra patrols in the area affected, and West Dunbartonshire Council are aware.”
A number of individuals have already been reported for the alleged crimes.
