AN ATTEMPTED murder on a man who was walking in a 'busy area' in Drumchapel is being investigated by police.

On Tuesday, August 20, at around 6.30pm, a 28-year-old man was walking through the grassy area between Glenkirk Drive and Kinfauns Drive, when he was approached from behind by a man who stabbed him.

Emergency services attended and the injured man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for stab wounds.

Hospital staff have desciribed his condition as serious but stable.

Detective Constable Jennifer Boyle from Drumchapel police station, said: “Enquiries are at an early stage into this attack and we are working to establish more information with officers carrying out enquiries in the local area and gathering CCTV footage.
