A WHITECROOK man has been put under the supervision of social workers for a year for cannabis possession and cannabis resin.
Police executed a search warrant on January 29 at a property in Low Crescent where they could easily smell cannabis.
Craig McLean, 37, was found to have 134g of cannabis resin and 81g of herbal cannabis in his home.
Solicitor Derek Buchanan said his client accepted he was in possession but that his greater problem was with alcohol.
He added: “It’s clear to him that if he doesn’t do something, he will continue to have difficulties in his adult life. He has stopped taking those substances.”
