An "explosion" in Renfrew could be heard from Clydebank and caused plumes of black smoke to travel across Glasgow.
Fire crews raced to Meadowside Street at around 12.48am on Friday to reports a number of vehicles were on fire.
The blaze spread to an adjacent roof, and local residents on social media reported hearing "metallic sounds"ย for some time afterwards.
Residents say they heard a "huge explosion" during the night, and they said there were "lots of flames and smoke".
Meanwhile, residents in Clydebank, Yoker, Drumchapel and Knightswood also reported hearing the blaze from across the River Clyde.
