A DANCE group which specialises in modern styles such as hip hop and break dancing is proving popular with young Bankies.

Urban Grooves and Club Moves only started recently and now 20 girls meet up every week to practice their ultra-modern dancing skills together.

Organiser, and professional dancer, Angela Houston, hopes that 15 of the girls are going to make it to the final of the Street Dance Coca-Cola competition in Edinburgh.

Angela said: “We have the semi-final in the Glasgow Piping Centre and if we get through that, which I think we will, we will be going to the final in Edinburgh.

“I am so proud of the girls because they have all worked really, really hard.

“Some of them have not danced before and they are doing brilliantly.”
